At We2Gether, we believe that access to healthy, nutritious food is a right, not a privilege. That’s why we’ve created two core food justice programs to uplift and support our communities—The We2Gether Food Pantry and GOODS - a grocery click-and-connect service for Drew, MS and surrounding townships.

Together, these programs create a lifeline, helping bridge the gap between food insecurity and a healthier future for all. At We2Gether, we’re more than a food provider—we’re building stronger, more resilient communities, one meal at a time.

We2Gether Food Pantry

Food insecurity is a significant challenge in low-income communities, with many children and families struggling to make ends meet. In response, We2Gether partnered with Drew United for Progress to address this critical need. Together, we applied for and successfully opened a community food pantry in partnership with the Mississippi Food Network in May 2014.

Since its opening, dedicated community volunteers have operated the pantry, picking up food from a delivery point 45 miles away and distributing it to local families. Mississippi Food Network provides a monthly food supply, allowing us to offer residents approximately three days' worth of food each month.

Early on, we identified a gap in the availability of fresh fruits and vegetables. To address this, we collaborated with the Mississippi Food Network and the Wal-Mart in Cleveland, MS. Thanks to this partnership, Wal-Mart now provides fresh produce and other perishables three times a week, supplementing the monthly food deliveries. The pantry distributes these items as they arrive, ensuring families have regular access to fresh, nutritious food.

Currently, we are proud to serve approximately 550 families and 1,700 individuals each month through our pantry, helping to alleviate hunger and nourish our community.

GOODS

GOODS, which stands for Grocery Online Ordering Delivery Service, provides access to healthy food options for residents in Drew, Mississippi, and the surrounding areas. Located at the Old National Guard Armory at 4127 Highway 49, Drew, MS 38737, GOODS serves residents of most of Ruleville, all of Drew, Parchman, and Rome. This service is a vital resource in the area, which faces the challenges of being a food desert, meaning that residents have limited access to fresh, affordable groceries.

Through our partnership with Walmart, GOODS allows residents to conveniently order groceries online and pick them up at the Old National Guard Armory. For those who are house-bound or face transportation challenges, we offer delivery upon request, ensuring that everyone in our community has access to nutritious food.

There is an order minimum of $35, but there are no fees for delivery or pickup, making this service as accessible as possible to our residents. Whether you're picking up your order or requesting delivery, GOODS is committed to overcoming the barriers of food deserts and bringing fresh, healthy food to the people of Drew and neighboring areas.
